MALONE Family History
The name Malone comes from Maoileoin, which meant ?one who served with John?. Early Malone history is centered on Offaly where they had their estate in Ballynahown. The Malones who supported King James II had to flee to Europe, where they can be traced in the armies and in the records of France and Spain. ?Molly Malone? is one of Dublin?s outstanding characters, and every Dubliner can sing the popular song describing how she ?Wheeled her whellbarrow through streets broad and narrow, singing cockles and mussels, alive, alive oh!?More MALONE family history

James Malone
My Malone side is from Armagh with my dad and his family moving from Armagh to Coventry in the 1950s. There is a reasonable bunch of my generation still there and im branching out with an Aussie Mrs and living in the UAE. I'd like to visit Markethill, Armagh, where my dad was born and my Nan and grandad married.

I'm the last of the Malones in my family. My mother was a Malone who never married my father left when I was little. She had 4 sisters still local and a brother who moved to England. Little did we know after my gran died that she had many children before meeting my grandfather. Who ever here knows about the atrocities the church committed back in the day, understand what I'm talking about. It's a bit ironic coming from a name of such holy diety. Anyways my grandfather Thomas Malone came from Kildare as did his father before him. He settled on the the kildalky road, trim co Meath . I'm eager to learn the history of our family as I've only scratched the surface and so far it's extremely interesting

Hello everyone especially Terry2029, my Malone ancestors came to Australia from Blackrock. My gggrandfather was Michael Malone 1808 who married Catherine Byrne. Son John 1838 came to Australia in the early 1860s. There is a good chance that we may be related Terry2029 as I have 7 James Malones in my tree. I live in Turramurra NSW Australia
