Our Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to Wales 101 (a subsidiary of Tribe101 group) and in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we have developed a Privacy Notice that covers why we collect and use your information. This privacy notice ensures that your personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully and in a transparent manner.

Purpose of processing

The Wales 101 (a part of Tribe101 group) is a contracted party for Welsh Government, holds and collects personal data about you, for example your:

  1. Name
  2. Email address
  3. Location
  4. Date connection was made
  5. Age range
  6. Gender
  7. Interests

Please note we may combine it with data you may have given, or in the future you may provide us. 

We will be sharing this information to the Welsh Government and upon receipt of this information the Welsh Government becomes the data controller for it.

In its remit as the data controller, the Tribe101 uses the information received for marketing purposes and the various objectives outlined to us by the Wales Government.

  1. 500,000 Diaspora Connections (based outside Wales) database
  2.  A report providing an analysis of the impact (economic, cultural, international profile etc.) that engaging with Diaspora has had on Wales on an annual basis. The report should also include the potential longer-term benefits of continuing to engage with Diaspora.
  3. A map, which identifies who the Diaspora are and where they are located should be presented to the Client every six months. This should include a breakdown, by region, age range, gender and particular areas of interest. This information should be able to be manipulated by the Client and should be presented in a visually stimulating format (e.g. infographics).
  4. An evaluation of the communications activities undertaken throughout thevcontract and their effectiveness. The evaluations should include a breakdown of the reach of the communications campaigns (to include click through, dwell times etc.).
  5. In partnership with the Welsh Gov, build a network of contributors including Welsh Diaspora organisations, who regularly be provide content to be promoted amongst the Welsh diaspora community

We promise to keep your data safe and private and we will not share your data with any other outside party. Please be assured we will treat your information with the utmost care.

How long are your details kept?

Your details will be retained on our system indefinitely until you request for your details to be removed

Your Rights in relation to your information

We will retain your information for this sole purpose but you have the right to:

  • require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
  • object to processing;
  • ask for your data to be erased;
  • withdraw your consent at any time.
